BPPF, BPF to unify on Jan 17

KOKRAJHAR, Jan 13 - In a new twist with some terms and conditions, senior Bodo leader and Bodoland People�s Progressive Front (BPPF) supremo Rabiram Narzary will join BTC Chief Hagrama Mohilary-led Bodoland People�s Front (BPF) shortly.

Addressing media persons at Kokrajhar Press Club here today, Rabiram Narzary announced the party�s decision to unify with the BPF. The decision was taken after a series of talks between the BPPF party leaders and workers, and for the greater interest of the people of BTC as well as model BTC, he said.

Narzary said that a grand unification rally of the BPF and BPPF would be held on January 17 at Thulangapuri, Dotma, the birthplace of Bodofa Upendra Nath Brahma. Ten district committees of the BPPF and hundreds of supporters, besides Hagrama Mohilary and other BPF leaders and supporters would attend the historic unification programme, he said.

Narzary, however, did not reveal anything about the terms and conditions of his joining the BPF.
