Book on fake news launched

GUWAHATI, June 7 - Dr Anamika Ray Memorial Trust, a non-profit educational and research organisation, has recently come up with an illustrated interactive book titled Break The Fake Toons on the infodemic, i.e. fake news, in the time of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The book was formally launched by Prof KG Suresh, former director general of the Indian Institute of Mass Communication, New Delhi, and Prof Ujjwal Choudhury, pro-VC of Adamas University, Kolkata, during a live webinar. The book is a product of the campaign #CheckTheFake initiated by the Trust in April in collaboration with The Assam Tribune and a city-based news portal.

Earlier, Dr Ankuran Dutta, principal investigator of the project, spoke on �Infodemic: Fake News�.
