Body of missing baby found in Tamenglong

IMPHAL, July 15 - One of the bodies of the two missing children in the July 11 landslide in Manipur�s Tamenglong district which claimed the lives of nine people, has been recovered , police said on Sunday.

The body of the nine-month-old baby boy was recovered from a stream Apa-Thuak on Saturday afternoon. However, the body of a five year-old girl is yet to be retrieved.

The recovery was made after continuous search for the last four days by the villagers after the incident. Earlier, seven of the nine bodies were recovered. The villagers stopped the search operations on Sunday, sources from Tamenglong said.
