Blank answerscripts recovered

GUWAHATI, Feb 8 - In another case of sheer negligence on the part of the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC), nearly 1,000 blank answerscripts were spotted in an abandoned state in Narangi area this morning.

As soon as the matter came to light, the answerscripts were collected by Noonmati police.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central) Ranjan Bhuyan, when contacted, informed that the answerscripts were recovered from Narangi area and brought to the police station, after which the AHSEC was asked to collect the same.

Bhuyan informed that as many as 990 blank answerscripts were recovered. An education department official said an in-house inquiry would be initiated to ascertain the circumstances leading to the incident, and fix responsibility.
