Biren Singh adjudged 3rd best Chief Minister in India

IMPHAL, Oct 15 - Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh was felicitated by Governor Dr Najma Heptulla on being conferred the 3rd Best Chief Minister of the country, at Raj Bhavan here on Monday.

The CM was adjudged as the 3rd Best Chief Minister of the country in a nationwide survey conducted by India Today magazine.

Congratulating the Chief Minister, the Governor said N Biren Singh is the best Chief Minister the State has ever produced.

She said that Biren Singh with his Cabinet Ministers has initiated a lot of progressive programmes for the welfare of the people of the State during his one and half year tenure as the CM of the State.

Stating that the State has moved forward and it is now recognised by the rest of the country, which earlier used to stop in Assam, she added, now people have realised that there is something beautiful beyond the borders of Assam.

It may be mentioned that after taking charge as Chief Minister, Biren Singh initiated the schemes �Go to Hill� and �Go to Village� to bridge the gap between the valley and the hill people.

Interacting with media persons at Raj Bhavan, the CM said that soon after swearing-in as the Chief Minister, his first priority was to work for the people and work with the people.

He said he is motivated to work harder for the welfare of each and every citizen of the State after being conferred as the 3rd Best CM of the country. He also dedicated the achievement to the people of the State.
