GUWAHATI, Aug 30 � The Guwahati Biotech Park, the first biotech park in the North-east, is ready for hosting entrepreneurs and firms, a press release said.
Situated at North Guwahati at the IIT premises, Guwahati, the park is one of its kind in India. The park provides a host of facilities to prospective entrepreneurs for doing research and developing products in biotechnology, pharmaceutical and allied fields. The park has ready-to-use labs as well as LC MS/MS, HPLC, GCMS, CHNS elemental analyzer, UV spectrophotometer, speedvac and other equipment. Common facilities that are available at the park include a business centre consisting of meeting rooms, conference halls, cafeteria, and of course, uninterrupted power and water supply to facilitate work and research. It is expected that the park will boost the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors in the North-East to a great extent. A lot of firms from Assam as well as outside have expressed interest in the Guwahati Biotech Park. Guwahati Biotech Park officials have intimated that they are open to visitors at the park to look at the facilities available.
