DIGBOI, Oct 20 � As part of tributary services to the genius of music maestro, Dr Bhupen Hazarika, IOCL-AOD is organizing a three-day-long prize-money competition on Bhupendra Sangeet at Digboi from October 31.
The state-level competition will be held in two categories � Group A for students from class VI to X and Group B for students from class XI and above and all others. The competition for each group will be held in three phases � Phase I: Audition, Phase II: Basic level and Phase III: Final. The total prize-money will be Rs 1.75 lakh.
The competitors will have to choose such Assamese songs only as were composed and attuned by Dr Bhupen Hazarika. Details can be had from the organisers.
