GUWAHATI, Nov 11 - The All India Tennis Association (AITA) has allotted two AITA Championship Series Tennis Tournaments to All Assam Tennis Association (AATA) during the month of December.
The first tournament will be held at the AATA complex in Chachal here for the 16 years age group players from December 4 to 6 while Jorhat will host the other tournament, for the 18 years age group players, from December 11 to 13. Both the tournaments are open for boys and girls in the singles event only. There will be no doubles event and strict COVID-19 protocols will be followed during the tournament days.
AATA secretary Ankush Dutta informed that players from Assam only will be allowed to participate in the tournaments as AITA has prohibited interstate travel for the players to participate in the tournaments. Interested players can visit the AITA website www.aitatennis.com, stated an AATA release.
