GUWAHATI, Aug 16 ASEB Sports Club and Green Valley Sports Club won their respective matches of the RG Baruah GSA Super Division Football League here at the Nehru Stadium today.

On the first ground, ASEB grounded Sunrise Athletic Club 4-0, while Green Valley earned a hard-fought 3-2 victory against Dynamo Club.

Jilendra Brahma was the star of the ASEB-Sunrise match as he alone scored three goals. Jilendra opened the account in the very third minute of the match with a sharp shot. However, the ball entered into the goal deflecting off a Sunrise defender.

Nitu Narzary made it 2-0 with a beautifully taken direct free-kick from out of the box.

With a 2-0 lead at the break, the ASEB boys enhanced their momentum in the second session and used nimble footed Jilendra who beat all the opponent defenders twice running down the right flank. He scored his teams third goal in the 52nd minute and added one more in the 91st minute.

Sunrise today fielded one foreign player Ageyekum E Amoafo but he hardly could make any difference. All the ASEB defenders were well combined today and never allowed the opponent frontliners to make headway to their striking zone.

In the other match of the day, Dynamo took the lead in the 21st minute through Oneybi Nandos Ogbonna. But Apurba Phukan restored parity in the 30th minute with a solo effort. Sanjeev Marak again put Dynamo ahead in the 39th minute but they failed to maintain the lead. Basudev Brahma managed to level the issue in the 70th minute and finally Agha Samson fired the match winner for Green Valley in the 86th minute.

Earlier, yesterday Assam Police Blues beat Gauhati Town Club 2-1.
