GUWAHATI, Nov 16 - Leading pace bowler of the State Arup Das, who resigned from his NF Railway job two days back, is likely to play for Assam in the Ranji Trophy match against Hyderabad to be played at the Assam Cricket Association (ACA) Stadium here from tomorrow.
The ACA secretary Pradip Buragohain said that he took initiative in acquiring the No Objection Certificate (NOC) for Arup from BCCI after he resigned from the NF Railway and the Indian cricket board provided NOC to Arup. He is now free to play for any State in any BCCI tournaments, Buragohain said.
However, Arup was not included in the 15-member Assam team for the Hyderabad match. The team was announced on November 13.
