ITANAGAR, June 30 - Governor of Arunachal Pradesh Brig (Dr) BD Mishra (Retd) today felicitated the officers and personnel of Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) for saving the lives of car accident victims including a lady with an infant, near Gohpur Market, here on May 10, at a function at Raj Bhavan here, a DIPR press release said.
The troops led by Himanshu Tiwari, Deputy Commandant of �A� coy of 54 ITBP Battalion came to the rescue of the car victims, acting on their own initiative and volition on humanitarian ground.
Speaking on the occasion, the Governor said that people look up at the members of the uniformed forces with expectation for help and assistance at the time of crises and in emergency. He expressed his appreciation that the troops carried out the commendable job in rescuing the accident victims.
