Arunachal Governor meets meritorious students

ITANAGAR, June 22 - Arunachal Pradesh Governor Brig (Dr) BD Mishra (retd), while interacting with a group of meritorious students from 13 eastern Arunachal districts at the Durbar Hall of the Raj Bhavan here today, exhorted them to have a lofty vision and realise it with diligence, discipline, and commitment. He also advised them to study for knowledge and competence, and not just for obtaining certificates.

The Governor also urged the young children to be good citizens, good human beings and to think out of the box. He suggested them not to study only for getting jobs but to become entrepreneurs and job providers under the �startup� concept.

The Governor felicitated Vanda Moran, a Class IX student from Namsai district, who topped the Arunachal State Board Exam 2018-19 (Class VIII), and Mame Mele of Class V from the Dibang Valley district.

Earlier, Deputy State Project Director, Samagra Shiksha, Nangram Pingkap said that the maiden exposure tour for the meritorious students had been arranged under the Samagra Shiksha programme. Six students from each district are visiting the Raj Bhavan, State Assembly, Civil Secretariat, Jawaharlal State Museum and Itafort, in addition to the institutes of higher studies, he added.
