Art competition organised by IOC

GUWAHATI, Jan 26 - Along with the rest of the country, the State oil industry, too, is observing the Oil and Gas Conservation Fortnight 2016 since January 16 under the aegis of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas and in association with the Petroleum Conservation Research Association (PCRA). This year�s theme is �Indhan ho swachh � jan gan rahein swasth�.

As part of the observance, a painting competition was organised today by the Indian Oil Corporation at Dighalipukhuri Park here, where more than 400 school students took part.

The themes of the three groups in the competition were � (a) Use car pool, save fuel; (b) Use cycle, save environment; and (c) Use clean fuel, be healthy.

Eminent artist Noni Borpuzari, who graced the occasion as the chief guest, encouraged the participants in his speech, while Dipankar Ray, Executive Director, Indian Oil Corporation and State Level Coordinator for Assam, who was the guest of honour, thanked the participants for their overwhelming participation.
