APPSC member sworn in

ITANAGAR, Jan 16 - Major General (Retd) Ganesh Singh Bisht has been appointed as a member of the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC).

He was administered the oath of office and secrecy by Arunachal Pradesh Governor Brig (Retd) BD Mishra. The swearing-in ceremony was held at the Gandhi Hall of Raj Bhavan here on Wednesday.

�It is for the first time in Arunachal Pradesh that an Army officer has been appointed as a member of APPSC,� Chief Minister Pema Khandu said in a social media post while congratulating Maj Gen Bisht on taking oath as a member of the state public service commission.

The commission has been mired in controversy due to anomalies in the question papers of recruitment examinations. State Home Minister Bamang Felix, Health Minister Alo Libang and Tourism Minister Nakap Nalo, APPSC Chairman Nipo Nabam and invitees were present on the occasion.
