GUWAHATI, Sept 9 - The Pratibandhi Suraksha Sanstha, Assam today raised allegations of anomalies in the beneficiary selection process in the recently launched Orunodoi scheme.

Addressing a press conference here, general secretary of the organisation Nripen Malakar said although the State government had announced that priority would be given to differently-abled persons under the scheme, in reality a number of male differently-abled persons still remain deprived of the benefits.

Malakar also slammed Education Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma for not taking any steps to provincialise the Blind Higher Secondary School located at Basistha and other schools for blind, deaf and dumb students located elsewhere in the State.
