KAMALABARI, Feb 22 � Seven seminars were held in the Ankiya Bhaona Samaroah on different topics.
On the second day, the Laksmikanta Goswami memorial seminar was held on �Ideology and Rasa in the dramatic thought of Madhavdev�. It was conducted by Dr Pona Mahanta. Dr Sanjib Kumar Barkakati, Dr Karabi Deka Hazarika and Dr Prabin Saikia took part in the deliberations.
A book, �Collected Articles of Narayan Chandra Goswami� was released by Dr Kumud Bora in the function.
On the third day, a seminar on the topic �Marji and Deshi in the Indian dramatic tradition with special reference to Ankiya Bhaona� was held. It was conducted by Dr Prabin Saikia.
Taking part in the seminar as the chief guest, Dr KD Tripati, Professor Emeritus, Benares Hindu University said that �ankiya� dramas are full of distinctive characteristics of Sanskrit dramas. Therefore, an �Ankiya bhaona� would help the audience a lot in understanding a Sanskrit drama, he said.
Hari Prasad Chaliha also spoke on the subject. The seminar was held in the memory of Ghana Kanta Goswami, late Satradhikar of the Natun Kamalabari Satra.
On the fourth day, the Shaishab Chandra Goswami Memorial Seminar was held on the topic �Shri Madbhagavat Puran and Shrimanta Shankardev�. It was conducted by Hari Prasad Chaliha.
Dr Malini Goswami gave the keynote address. Mukul Chaliha, retired principal, Jayannath College, Jorhat and Koshakanta Goswami Natun Chamaguri Satradhikar spoke on the subject.
A book �Collected Articles of Narajan Chandra Goswami�, volume IV was released by Mukul Chaliha in the function.
On the fifth day, Rama Kanta Goswami Memorial Seminar was held on the topic �Influence of the Ramayana literature on that of the Mahapurushas�. It was conducted by Dr Nagin Saikia. Dimbeswar Dayal Sharma, Dr Nabin Chandra Sharma and Biren Barma took part in the deliberations.
On the sixth day, the Bhavakanta Goswami Memorial Seminar was held on the topic �Borgeet and drama song in the vision of a singer�. It was conducted by Dr Anil Saikia. Punyabata Goswami, Dr Pabitra Pran Goswami and Hiru Prasad Mahanta participated in the interaction.
On the seventh day, Purna Kanta Mahanta Memorial seminar was held on the subject �The language and the dramatic style of the Ankiya bhaona�. It was conducted by dr Basanta Goswami, Bisweswar Hazarika, Jatin Goswami, Dr Apurba Bora and Porag Chandra Bairagi.
On the ninth day the Kamala Kanta Goswami Memorial Seminar was held on the topic �The role of the Shankari Culture in the national Integration�. It was conducted by Prafula Bora. Dr Dambarudhar Nath, Dr Debabrata Sharma, Ismail Hussain, Dr Upen Rabha Hakacham and Dilip Kumar Phukan voiced their opinions in the seminar.
Ankiya Natakavali, edited by Narayan Chandra Goswami, was released by Dr Dambarudhar Nath in the function.
