BONGAIGAON, Oct 28 - The All Koch Rajbongshi StudentsUnion (AKRSU) leaders warned the BJP-led governments in the State and the Centre to be ready to face a renewed phase of long-drawn agitations by them in the days to come in support of their demand for Kamatapur State, including grant of tribal status.

Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal gave us word to arrange a meeting between the Union Government and us to discuss our issues, but he has failed to do so, hence we will very soon decide to launch our agitation afresh, AKRSU president Arun Ray said.

We will not allow the BJP-led Government to remain in peace. We will continue our agitation with renewed vigour and dedication, warned AKRSU general secretary Gokul Barman. Opposing the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, the union leaders said they would go against those who support the Bill.
