DIBRUGARH, March 18: The Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuba Chatra Parishad (AJYCP) said that it will not support political parties who are for the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill and also to those parties who are extending support to the pro-CAB political parties.

AJYCP is opposed to the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill and therefore will appeal to the people not to vote for parties who stand for the controversial Bill and also to those parties who are helping the pro-CAB political parties. We will move to the rural areas and campaign against the parties seeking to bring the CAB again. This decision was taken by the organisation during the three-day biennial convention of AJYCP at district library here, said Palash Changmai, general secretary, AJYCP.

The AJYCP also elected Rana Pratap Baruah as its new president during the biennial convention, informed Changmai.
