AJYCP leader Prabin Borthakur passes away

JORHAT, Aug 29 - An active participant of the Assam Agitation against illegal migrants from Bangladesh and the founder general secretary of Jorhat district unit of AJYCP, Prabin Borthakur, breathed his last on Friday at a private hospital here due to an ailment.

Borthakur, a resident of Nazir Ali locality here, was 64. He leaves behind his wife, two sons, a daughter and a host of relatives. Borthakur, who was also a former vice-president of State unit of AJYCP, was also involved in social activities in the area. Several organisations, including the Jorhat district unit of AJYCP, have mourned his death.

A condolence meeting was organised on Saturday on the premises of south Jorhat unit AJYCP office, which was attended by the Jorhat district unit president of the student�s body, Pranabjyoti Saikia, along with several office-bearers and members.
