AGP stir against price hike on Oct 29

GUWAHATI, Oct 21 � Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) will stage a sit-in demonstration all over the State on October 29 in protest against the abnormal rise in the prices of essential commodities.

The party said in a statement here today that its members would stage the sit-in demonstrations in front of the offices of the DCs and SDCs.

The statement signed by party general secretary Ramendra Narayan Kalita, alleged that the governments in the State and at the Centre have been patronizing abnormal rise in the prices of essential commodities with their nexus with the hoarders, black-marketeers and big capitals.
