NEW DELHI, Oct 22 - A delegation of Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) on Monday called on three members of the Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) � Saugata Roy, Bhartruhari Mahtab and Swapan Dasgupta � to reiterate the party�s opposition to the proposed Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2016.
The AGP delegation led by its president Atul Bora called on the three MPs, belonging to Trinamool Congress, Biju Janata Dal and BJP respectively, to renew its demand for scrapping of the proposed bill.
Later, Bora told newsmen that the AGP will not to allow the bill to be passed in Parliament.
