Agitation against big dams to continue: Samujjal

BISWANATH CHARIALI, Jan 4 � �The agitation initiated by AASU against construction of big river dams will continue until government gives up such projects,� reiterated AASU adviser Dr Samujjal Bhattacharjya at Gohpur recently. He was taking part at the inaugural function of the Swahid Bhawan built under the aegis of Gohpur subdivision AASU.

He said that AASU cannot let the government jeopardise the lives of common people of the State. He also strongly criticised the present education system of the State for failing to fulfil the aspirations of the educated youths.

The general secretary of NESO, Gumjum Haidar, AASU general secretary Tapan Kumar Gogoi, AASU organising secretary Ananta Kumar Borah, etc., were also present at the meeting. A meet of AASU workers of Gohpur subdivision was also held on the occasion.
