GUWAHATI, Nov 13 - Assam Cricket Association (ACA) today inked an MoU with Assam Agricultural University (AAU) for developing cricket infrastructure in the University�s campus in Jorhat.
After the execution of the MoU, it was exchanged between ACA president Romen Dutta and Bidyut Chandan Deka, Vice Chancellor, Assam Agricultural University in presence of ACA secretary Devajit Saikia. Other ACA officials Porikshit Dutta, Sujit Kakati along with Jayanta Deka, Dean, College of Agriculture, Assam Agricultural University; Arpan Kumar Saikia, Registrar, Assam Agricultural University and Rana Pratap Bhuyan, Director of Students� Welfare, Assam Agricultural University were also present on the occasion.
As per the terms of the MoU, ACA will develop a cricket ground in the Jorhat campus of the university wherein three centre wickets along with other cricket facilities would be built so as to enable it to host BCCI and ACA recognised tournaments and matches as well as to host various coaching camps.
Further, the MoU states that ACA would invest all funds for the development of the ground and that the AAU would allow ACA to utilize its facilities initially for 5 years, which may be extended later, a release said.
