Absence of LP school teacher

TURA, Aug 2 - Residents of Mindikgre in South Garo Hills today complained against a teacher of a lower primary school after his continued absence for almost eight months.

In the complaint filed before the Deputy Commissioner, SN Marak, the residents alleged that Emanuel Sangma, assistant teacher of Gara Samka Government LP School, had been shirking duty. �We seek appropriate action against Emanuel M Sangma who has stayed away from his duties, for which he is handsomely paid, since January,� the residents stated in the complaint.

The villagers alleged that the teacher�s absence has deprived the students of getting proper education.
