We insist the Government ensure the requisite medical care to the affected students as well as provide compensation to them, said the AASU calling upon the Government to test the quality of the iron tablets before distributing in other districts.

It is very unfortunate that even the Chief Minister is trying to shield those involved in this racket of supplying of substandard drugs, said the AASU mentioning that this Government which announces compensation on the slightest pretext has till now not announced any compensation for affected students of vernacular medium schools.

The AASU said the Government must ensure that such an incidents did not recur.
