AAGSU demands Nepali department in Tangla College

KALAIGAON, March 23 - The Tangla Regional Committee of the All Assam Gorkha Students� Union has demanded introduction of a Nepali department in Tangla College. A meeting, held at the Kukurakata Primary School recently and chaired by Taranath Upadhaya, president of Tangla unit of AAGSU, was attended by nearly 500 people. The meeting resolved to pressurize the State government for introduction of Nepali department in Tangla College and introduction of Nepali MIL in schools with minimum 15 percent Gorkha students.
