60 new cases in Meghalaya

SHILLONG, Aug 30 - Sixty new COVID-19 positive cases were reported in the State and 14 patients also recovered in the State.

With these new cases, the total active cases in the State have gone up to 1,284 and the total number of patients who have recovered from the infection has risen to 1,049.

Most of the new positive cases were reported from East Khasi Hills district (31) East and West Garo Hills districts reported 9 new cases each.

Ri-Bhoi district reported 6 new cases, East Jaintia Hills 4 and South Garo Hills 1.

East Khasi Hills district has the highest number of active cases with 920.

West Garo Hills district has the second-highest number of active cases with 137, followed by East Garo Hills district with 80.
