54 active cases in Sikkim

GANGTOK, June 24 - With four more persons testing positive, the number of COVID-19 cases in Sikkim rose to 83, including 54 active cases. Director General-cum-Secretary of Health, Dr Pema T Bhutia said that four persons, all from South district, tested positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday night.

So far, 29 patients have recovered from COVID-19 in Sikkim.

Nine COVID-19 patients were released from the isolation ward of the Ayush Hospital at Kyongsa in West Sikkim. West district DC Karma R Bonpo urged them to follow the protocols of home quarantine.

The remaining five positive patients at the hospital are asymptomatic and receiving all necessary treatment at the isolation ward where they have been kept under continuous observation.
