TEZPUR, March 11 - A Tezpur court today granted life imprisonment to five accused involved in a murder case. Sources revealed that altogether seven accused namely Abdul Kadir, Abdul Kadir Zalini, Nur Islam, Nurul Haque, Taher Uddin, Mamtaj Begum and Allauddin of Bhojkhwa Sapori had together killed one Mahamad Sahabuddin of the same locality in 2014. The accused were tried under Section 302 and 149.
Today the court awarded life imprisonment to Abdul Kadir, Abdul Kadir Zalani, Nur Islam, Nurul Haque and Allauddin.
However, two of the accused Taher Uddin and Mamtaj Begum were relieved from the charges on the basis of old age.
