IMPHAL, June 24 - Four persons were killed and four others injured on Monday in a road accident on Imphal-Jiribam National Highway in Manipur�s Kangpokpi district, sources said.
The incident took place when a truck carrying labourers skidded off the road and plunged into a more than 100 feet deep gorge at Leinganglok, about two km from New Keithelmanbi police station around 5.30 am today, sources said. Three persons died on the spot while another succumbed to his injuries at the hospital, police said.
The four other injured persons including the driver of the truck have been admitted to a hospital in Imphal.
