4 food outlets opened at LGBI Airport

JALUKBARI, Dec 13 - Enhancing the passenger facilities at the Lokapriya Gopinath Bordoloi International (LGBI) Airport, Guwahati, four new food and beverages outlets were opened in different areas of the airport here today.

Anuj Aggarwal, member, HR, Airports Authority of India (AAI), was the chief guest on the occasion, who inaugurated the outlets, named Air Beans.

Informing about the facilities added to the airport, Aggarwal said the AAI is opening such counters and outlets in other airports across the country in clusters. The idea is to enhance the passengers� facilities and their convenience.

Addressing the media, he said, other airports in the northeastern region will also see similar kind of facilities in the coming days.

�The AAI is committed to providing the best available facilities to the flyers in the entire AAI airports despite facing certain challenges,� he added.��

At the LGBI Airport, the outlets have come up at the �arrival visitors� area, �security check in� area, �security hold� area at ground floor and �security hold� area at first floor of the airport.

It has been a long-pending demand of the people flying through the airport, as the Guwahati airport is considered to be the gateway to the North East and the adjoining areas.

Later in the day, Aggarwal also inaugurated the newly constructed the Guwahati Airport Club Gym located inside the residential colony.�

DK Kamra, Regional Executive Director, AAI, North East Region, along with other AAI officials were also present on the occasion.
