BONGAIGAON, March 19 - The All Koch Rajbongshi Students Union (AKRSU) led by Pradip Ray has withdrawn the 36-hour Assam bandh called on March 21 after they received an assurance today from the State Government of holding a tripartite talk in the first week of April next. We have withdrawn all our protest programmes and strike temporarily by honouring the Governments talks offer. If the dialogue process fails to arrive at any fruitful conclusion, our next agitation would be violent, Ray forewarned.

Putting stress on Kamatapur State, Ray further said, No separate land would be allowed to be created in our historical homeland. If the Government dares to do so, we would oppose such a move tooth and nail. Bodoland has no historical and logical base unlike Kamatapur, hence all should back the latter, claimed Gokul Barman, general secretary of the students faction.
