3,000 people diagnosed with TB in Mizoram

AIZAWL, June 10 - Over 3,200 people have been diagnosed with tuberculosis (TB) between January, 2018 to March this year in Mizoram, according to the report of Revised National Tuberculosis Control Programme. The report said that 2,499 people were diagnosed with TB in 2018. During January to March this year, 4,115 blood samples have been tested, out of which 757 people, including 45 minor were found suffering from Mycobacterium tuberculosis, the report said, adding that 92 per cent of TB patients were successfully treated during the same period.
