KALAIGAON, Sept 10 - In a successful operation, Harisinga Police apprehended two NDFB (S) linkmen at Santipur village under Harisinga Police Station in Udalguri district on the morning of September 8.
A police team led by SDPO of Bhergaon sub-division apprehended NDFB(S) linkmen Funkha Narzary (23) and Prasen Daimari (35) of No.1 Pub Khoirabari (Santipur) village.
One 9 mm pistol with 7 cartridges; one .22 pistol with 3 cartridges and 2 mobile handsets were recovered from their possession.
Satyaraj Hazarika, DIG, (BTAD) told this Correspondent that the situation was under control. According to him, most of the extremist organisations have lost ground in BTAD.
