2 killed in accidents

GUWAHATI, Dec 7 - A 24-year-old man driving a four-wheeler died after his vehicle rammed into a water tanker at Santipur under Bharalumukh PS in the early hours today. He was identified as Dhanjit Deka of Belsor in Nalbari district. His co-occupants identified as Juganta Jyoti Das and Sailendra Das, both from Noonmati, are undergoing treatment at a hospital.

�The four-wheeler, coming from Nalbari to the city, rammed into the water tanker from behind. All of them were immediately admitted to the GMCH in a critical condition. The driver succumbed to his injuries,� a police source said.

Meanwhile, an unidentified man aged about 50 died after being hit by a speeding city bus while trying to cross the road at Bhootnath today. He was rushed to the GMCH but succumbed to his injuries.
