TURA, Oct 13 � Two persons were killed and another suffered minor injuries when the bike they were travelling in hit a truck coming from the opposite direction. The incident happened at about 3.20 pm today at Kalaicharpara village in South West Garo Hills (SWGH).
The two killed have been identified as Jerik T Sangma (35) from Bolsalgre and Newbirth N Sangma (40) of Monabari in the district. A 15-year-old boy, Gilsrnag N Sangma, who was also riding the motorcycle, was injured.
SP SWGH, R Muthu said, �They were trying to avoid cows when they hit the truck at speed resulting in the deaths.� The injured boy, a resident of Tura has been sent to the Tura Civil Hospital for treatment.
