SILCHAR, Jan 13 - Following the announcement of setting up a regional passport office at Silchar by the External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj during her recent visit here, a two-day passport camp will be held at the Public Facilitation Centre on the office premise of the Deputy Commissioner, Cachar from January 16.
The district administration has appealed to the passport seekers of the three districts of Barak Valley and people from Dima Hasao district to submit their applications online for appointment at the website www.passportindia.gov.in before the scheduled dates of the camp.
It is to be mentioned here that a team of two officers from the Regional Passport Office, Guwahati had visited Silchar in December last year and did a recce for the camp.
