1,170 active cases in Meghalaya

SHILLONG, Oct 30 - With 8,135 recoveries so far, Meghalaya now has only 1,170 active cases of COVID-19. Meanwhile, 79 new cases were reported in the State today.

Twenty-seven of the new cases have been reported from West Garo Hills district, 24 from East Khasi Hills district, 23 from Ri-Bhoi, two from West Jaintia Hills district and one case each from East Garo Hills, East Jaintia Hills and West Khasi Hills district.

During the past 24 hours, 235 patients recovered from the infection. East Khasi Hills district recorded the highest recovery at 191, followed by West Jaintia Hills (23).
