DIBRUGARH, May 28 - Altogether 108 passengers of Indigo Airlines flight No. 6E-455 from Kolkata landed at Dibrugarh Airport at Mohanbari here today, following the COVID-19 outbreak.
The air passengers belong to various districts of upper Assam and Arunachal Pradesh.
As per district officials here, the flight brought some 37 Dibrugarh-bound passengers among others. Domestic flight services have resumed from May 25 after nearly two-month break due to the nationwide lockdown. The beginning of flight services from Kolkata have further delayed due to cyclone Amphan.
All the passengers were later taken to their respective districts after preliminary screening. The Dibrugarh-bound passengers have also been put in quarantine depending on their respective cases.
Meanwhile, three COVID-19 positive cases were detected here. Two cases were detected from Kusum Hotel quarantine centre, Jhalukpara and one from a lodge at Paltan Bazar. All of them had arrived from Chennai. They have been shifted to Assam Medical College and Hospital (AMCH).
