DIPHU, Aug 15 - One person was killed on the spot and three others sustained injuries in a road accident at Kanki Basti, near Howraghat at around 4 pm on Tuesday.
The deceased was identified as Gopinath Basumatary, while the injured persons are Dipjyoti Bey, Milan Nath and Jeshmin Beypi.
According to eye witnesses, an Alto car bearing registration No AS-01BL/8765 had a head-on collision with a truck (AS-01G/39870). Later, the driver of the truck was caught by local public and handed over to the Howraghat police.
