Guwahati, May 2: The Assam Assembly polls counting is currently underway for 126 seats in the State. The BJP-led NDA is competing against the Grand Alliance spearheaded by the Congress in Assam.

    After the 14th round of counting in 42-Patacharkuchi LAC, BJP's Ranjit Kumar Dass is leading with 72,003 votes while Congress candidate Santanu Sarma is trailing with 15,180 votes. Asom Gana Parishad's Pabindra Deka has secured 8582 votes till now.

    Trends at 4:00 PM

    As of 4:00 PM, the Bharatiya Janata Party is leading in 57 seats while the Indian National Congress is leading in 29 seats. The AIUDF has established leads in 14 seats and Asom Gana Parishad is also leading in 10 seats. NDA alliance UPPL has managed to maintain a lead in 8 seats while UPA alliance BPF is maintaining a lead in 1 seat.

    Silchar, May 2: After counting for the 7th round ended in Borkhola constituency, BJP’s Amalendu Das has 18,673 votes and Congress candidate Misbahul Islam Laskar bagged 35,561 votes. At the end of round 8 in Katigorah constituency, BJP’s Gautam Roy has got 35,437 votes while Congress candidate K.U Mazumder has secured 31,563 votes.

    Guwahati, May 2: After 12th round of counting, Ranjeet Kumar Dass of BJP secured 59,589 votes, Santanu Sarma of Congress got 14438 votes and Pabindra Deka of AJP got 7411 votes at Patacharkuchi LAC.

    Counting of votes pick up pace in Cachar district

    Silchar, May 2: In Silchar LAC, at the end of 5th round, BJP candidate Dipayan Chakraborty has scored 20,917 votes while INC candidate Tamal Kanti Banik is standing at 12,754 votes. Independent candidate Dilip Kumar Paul is at 2,789.

    In Sonai LAC, after 9th round of counting, BJP’s Aminul Haque Laskar has 28,272 votes while AIUDF candidate Karim Uddin Barbhuiya has 32,437 and independent candidate Ashish Haldar has 8,908 votes

    Guwahati, May 2: After 11th round of counting in Patacharkuchi LAC, BJP's Ranjeet Kumar Dass secured 54,454 votes, Santanu Sarma of Congress got 13,355 votes and Pabindra Deka of AJP got 6848 votes.

    Guwahati, May 2: After 10th round of counting in Patacharkuchi LAC, Ranjeet Kumar Dass from BJP got 49,953 votes, Santanu Sarma of Congress secured 11,582 votes and Pabindra Deka of AJP got 6499 votes.

    Guwahati, May 2: After 10th round of counting in 106-Sonari LAC, BJP candidate Dharmeswar Konwar is leading by 12,139 votes against Congress candidate Sushil Kumar Suri.

    In 105-Mahmora LAC, after 10th round of counting, BJP candidate Jugen Mohan is leading by 9958 votes against Suruj Dihingia of Congress.
