7. The Ever-Burning Lamp
This is a very interesting and surprising fact that Assam also has a sacred lamp at a Vaishnavite monastery in Jorhat that has been burning continuously for over 450 years. This has been recognized in the Asia Book of Records because of how long this lamp has been burning. It is known that this lamp was lit first in 1528 and since then, the locals have kept it burning.
