Cachar Polls gather pace: Turnout surges across constituencies by 11 am
Voter turnout across Cachar’s seven Assembly constituencies registered a significant rise by 11 am, reflecting strong and steady participation under overcast skies.
Katigorah led the district with 38.72 per cent polling, followed by Borkhola at 37.95 per cent and Sonai at 37.10 per cent.
Lakhipur recorded 36.42 per cent, while Udharbond stood at 35.68 per cent. Silchar and Dholai, which had a slower start in the early hours, reported 34.25 per cent and 34.80 per cent, respectively, by late morning.
