UDALGURI, May 12 - All roads led to Golmagaon High School here on Saturday night as heart throb of the younger generation Zubeen Garg enthralled the audience with his soul-stirring renditions.

Braving inclement weather, people cutting across race, religion, social status and political affiliation thronged the venue to enjoy Zubeen Garg perform live at a Bihu function organised by the Pushpa Nagar Yuva Samaj.

Earlier, the two-day programme of the third Pushpa Nagar Rongali Bihu got under way on May 10 with ceremonial hoisting of the Bihu insigne,various cultural competitions among the children, followed by a cultural function in the evening.

The organisers facilitated the budding singers and dancers of the locality to showcase their talent on stage before singing sensation Zubeen Garg entered the stage.

Hiren Kumar Barman, president and Jatin Rajbongshi, president and working president respectively of the ccommittee accorded a warm reception to Zubeen and his team while a good number of local organisations felicitated the popular singer.

Significantly, crowd-puller Zubeen with his co-singers made the inclement weather a pleasant one by belting out popular foot-tapping numbers one after the other.
