BOKAKHAT, Oct 17 - Love and devotion enhances wisdom and power, said Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal in a meeting of Krishna Guru youth conference on Sunday.

Today all youths drawn from various places of Assam have gathered here and this young force must elevate the State to the top spot in India through hard work and firm determination. Love and devotion enhances power, wisdom and peace, our Guru had told us. Bowing to our Guru, we have to stand together in the competitive world to be the fittest one by earning spiritual knowledge. The soul has no caste and creed and only love and simplicity is our wealth, said Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal while addressing the open meeting of 19th Krishna Guru International Spiritual Youth Society presided over by Mukul Deka, president of Krishna Guru Sewa Ashram (KGSA) managing committee, Na-Satra.

Sonowal also said that besides India, the messages of Krishna Guru have been preached in Japan and USA also. We must remember the contributions of Krishna Guru Sewa Ashram. Every man dies but it is the result of his great deeds that lasts forever. We can be the architects of a perfect society but it needs devotion, sincerity and punctuality. I had got an opportunity to be blessed by our respected Guru of Na-Satra KGSA in 1988. Since then, I went forward with confidence, courage and power. Overcoming myriad problems and difficulties, our Guru could become the torch bearer of the society, said Sonowal.

State Agriculture Minister, Atul Bora, MLA of Tingkhong, Bimal Bora, MLA of Khumtai, Mrinal Saikia, MP of Dibrugarh, Rameswar Teli also attended the meeting. Premanjali Aai, Guru Krishna Premanda Prabhu, Dr Tarun Chandra Borua, Dhan Gogoi, president of Adhyatmik Yuva Samaj also spoke on the occasion. The three-day programme concluded with Sampriti Yatra, a religious procession which was taken out in the town in the morning.
