JORHAT, May 4 - Police arrested two youths of Haryana on charges of their involvement in ATM theft cases and duping bank customers by hacking in recent times.
A police source stated that Ashok Kumar and Sunny were nabbed by police at Nirmal Chariali here after a local journalist Nekib Ahmed alerted police about the duo.
The youths were fleeing in a car after reportedly taking an ATM card of a girl student by exchanging the card while pretending to help her to withdraw cash at an ATM kiosk on the AT Road.
About Rs 52,000 cash, an ATM swipe machine, 10 ATM cards, three mobile handsets, one laptop and a Swift Dzire vehicle which have also been seized from them, the source informed.
The laptop reportedly had a wide range of information regarding cybercrime activities of the duo, the source said.
In the meantime, investigation into the case is on.
