TEZPUR, March 30 - A tense situation has been prevailing at Bihaguri area following the brutal killing of a 26-year-old youth of Moila Ati village under Bebejia police post near here recently.
The deceased, who was later identified as Mahesh Bora came to Balisiha-Godhagaon with his friends for completing some personal work.
However, after missing for sometime, his body was subsequently found in a field near Balisiha-Godhagaon under the jurisdiction of the aforementioned police outpost.
Following deep gashes on the head and body of the youth, police suspect that the deceased was killed brutally. However, no one was apprehended in this connection even though police investigation is on.
In another incident on the same day, the body of a woman of about 50 years old was recovered near Nij-Bihaguri area along NH-15.
