DOOMDOOMA, March 11 - One Prasenjit Guha (42), a resident of Old AT Road of Doomdooma town was allegedly killed by bike lifters on Wednesday. According to the police, the deceased went missing since Wednesday morning with his bike and his wife filed an FIR at Doomdooma PS. Police registered a case (No - 67/19) and started investigation and picked up one Kishan Koya (22) of Tara TE here in the wee hours today.
During interrogation, Kishan admitted that he along with one of his friends killed Prasenjit at Tingrai Kathgaon and left the body in a paddy field on Wednesday. Then they took away his bike and his mobile phone. The culprit also admitted that they had sold the bike to one Samel Urang of Purna Line of Tongonagaon TE. On the basis of this information, police recovered the body of Prasenjit from the paddy field at Tingrai and his bike was also recovered. Police also arrested Samel Urang for purchasing the stolen bike.
On the other hand, one of the main culprits is still absconding.
