TEZPUR, March 19 - Sensation prevails here following the mysterious murder of a 28-year- old youth of Barika Chuburi area here last night.
Additional SP, Numal Mahatta informed that the body of employee of office of the District Transport Officer here, Hosney Mudasir, who was an inhabitant of Barikachuburi area in Tezpur town was found dead last night at around 9.30 pm inside his Maruti Swift Dzire car near old Ban Theatre in Kolibari area.
�We were informed by Mudasir�s friend Amit Mandal that his friend was killed by somebody near the Old Ban Theatre in Kolibari area. On receiving the information, our team rushed to the spot where they found the body of Madasir in his car bearing No-AS-12-T 7333 having mark of multiple injuries on his body and his friend Amit Mandal lying senseless in the driving seat of the car. Later along with the body, Amit was rushed to Kanaklata Cibvil Hospital,� Mahatta said adding investigation is on to nab the culprit.
However, the irate people of Barikachuburi area taking the body of the deceased youth today took out a protest rally in the town and demanded of the police administration to deal with the matter to nab the real culprits involved with the incident. Meanwhile, suspecting the involvement of the brutal killing of the youth, police today detained Mudasir�s friend Amit Mndal from Kanaklata Civil Hospital and he is being interrogated.
