Young cricketers shine in HSLC exam

GUWAHATI, May 29 � Three young cricket players of Tezpur District Cricket Association (TDCA) have performed creditably in the HSLC examination under SEBA.

Nabaneeroj Saikia secured third position while Nabajit Sarkar and Arunav Barma secured 12th and 20th positions respectively in the examination. Another young cricketer Sumit Das got distinction marks securing 85 per cent. All the boys are students of Tezpur Don Bosco School.

The TDCA secretary Dr Anil Bora informed that all the boys have represented the Tezpur district U-15 cricket team. Nabajit was also in the State trial camp last year. The players were felicitated by the TDCA today for their remarkable achievement in the HSLC examination.

Congratulating the players, the Assam Cricket Association Secretary Bikash Baruah said the players should be praised by all corners as despite playing cricket regularly they have shown good performance in the HSLC examination. Baruah further revealed all the players will be provided one time scholarship by ACA for their achievement.

Former international umpire and ACA legal cell committee chairman Niloy Dutta congratulated all the young cricketers for their performances in HSLC examination.
